Just four matches into his stint with Orlando Pirates, midfielder Goodman Mosele has already established himself as a major player in the Buccaneers' machines. Considered to be one of the brightest young talents in South Africa in the local football community, the 2019/2018 Young Player of the Season Premiership joined the Baroka FC Buccaneers ahead of the existing campaign and already emphasized its pedigree during his first few black and white trips.
He debuted at the Stellenbosch FC league opener shortly after he represented South Africa at the Tokyo Olympics and finished the event with a goal plus a match performer. Goodman Mosele said in an interview with the Orlando Pirates Web site that the chance to leave the colors of Orlando Pirates was unpredictable because of the club's healthy midfield stocks.
"I didn't anticipate it would arrive so quickly for the possibility of starting gaming," he added. "I expected to spend some time adapting to the style of the team, but it came, and I took it."
Once again, Mosele was on the scoreboard last Saturday, finishing 3-1 away with Chippa United for the third goal. He intends to continue in the same vein and pays tribute to the hard work he has done thus far.
The next setting for Orlando Pirates is Saturday's encounter at the Orlando Stadium against defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
Mosele believes the team's odds will be a major performance on the day. "It's crucial that we play well. Any team of gel will have their upper hands. It's a big game, and we're ready for it," he said.
I believe that this young lad will continue growing up to his potential if he is given enough playing time in the club. The Pirate coach is also doing a good job by developing the player and giving him the chance to prove himself in the league.
