Speculation has swirled that Chiefs could rekindle their interest in highly-rated SuperSport United midfield maestro, Sipho Mbule.
The Matsatsantsa star's exhilarating performances this season have attracted a lot of interest for his services, the finesse with which he caresses the ball has drawn comparison to Brazilian legend Ronaldinho Gaucho.
And with Amakhosi reportedly set to break the bank for Mbule to bolster their lean and conspicuously struggling team which has gone for 6 years without winning any sizeable honours.
Chiefs first registered interest in the 22-year-old last season, and at one point SuperSport United CEO Stan Matthews warned them that if they were interested, they ought to part with gargantuan sums of money.
"Whoever wants to come sniffing around must come with a big cheque book as big as their nostrils," Matthews said in March 2020.
Meanhwile, Mbule has seemingly made a decision regarding his future, as he opened up in an interview with KickOff, saying his goal is not really to end up at Naturena and rather he has set his eyes on playing in Europe which will certainly increase his chances of being a regular for Bafana Bafana.
"No response," Mbule [laughed] addressing the rumours that are linking him with Chiefs.
"I want to win the league with SuperSport United, then move overseas and be a regular at Bafana Bafana, that's my focus," he added.

Mbule has been amazing since he made his debut just under two years ago, and he has struck a dynamic combination with his childhood friend Tebogo Mokoena.
Though he has admitted that the two seasons that he has been in the DStv Premiership were basically about learning and acquainting himself with what needed to be done in order for one to be successful, and that has passed as he now knows what he ought to do to deliver.
"I need to focus on being a better player, create and score more goals for the team," he concluded.
Do you think Mbule is ready enough to go to Europe now or he should join Chiefs and ultimately earn a move to Europe?
