The South African actress and television presenter Ayanda Thabethe spoke about her hotel ritual since she’s constantly travelling and checks-in different types of accommodations. It’s not easy to travel, especially nowadays during the COVID-19 pandemic. As there are many things that people need to be on the lookout for in different places. One crucial aspect that has proved to be key to Thabethe is her safety. I know you probably thinking about not being mugged, hijacked, or your hotel room broke into while you’re away or sleeping. Yes, all of that matters when it comes to safety.
However, Thabethe has touched on something that many people don’t think about whenever they check-in a new hotel and that’s praying. She stated that she do it to chase away all the dreadful spirits that might within the hotel room. As we all know that hotel welcomes different people every day and you wouldn’t want to find yourself in a compromising situation. The businesswoman didn’t want to dive much into her reasons for praying hotels. However, she felt that her actions might be seen as “weird” but she loves them. Surely, there’s nothing wrong with reaching to the higher powers for protection. “I do this thing where I pray over every hotel room I sleep in. I just feel like so many spirits pass through doing different things in hotel rooms and I always want to wash the room with the Holy Spirit and the blood of Jesus… I can be weird like that but it’s so comforting,” wrote the gorgeous model on her Twitter account.
Little did she know that she wasn’t the only one and probably that could have changed her initial thought of thinking she was being “weird” for praying at hotel rooms that she sleeps on. There’s nothing wrong with a sprinkle of the blood of Jesus wherever you go.
