A 22-year Old Wrestler With No legs: Read Zion’s Inspiring Story.

This determined 22-year old is continuing to make his mark in the world - despite living with no legs.

Zion Clark was born with caudal regression syndrome, which is a rare disorder that impairs the development of the lower spine. In Zion’s case, he was born missing both of his legs.

Zion resides in Ohio, and says that one in every 100, 000 children are born with congenital condition each year, and due to his unfortunate circumstances, he ended up in foster care for the first 16 years of his life.

He is now fostered by Kimberlli who is his current mother, and has a fantastic support system and continues to find his strength and passion in the form of Wrestling.

“being born without legs hasn’t stopped me from doing the things that I Love. People always made fun of me because I don’t have legs, but the best way to deal with haters is to lift yourself up,” he said

“He came into my life when the case workers had reached out to me and and said they needed a placement for a young fellow. They brought Zion into my home weeks later and it came into where I knew he was just mine,” Kimberlli said, (Zion’s Mother).

She then explained how she approached Zion to be her permanent son, “I was so in-love with Zion that one day I approached him while we were seated on a couch. I said, Zion, I know I am not your biological mother, but I would really appreciate if I could be your mother. He replied and said he loves me too and wants to be my son.”

Zion started wrestling in second grade, and he says many kids were scared to wrestle him - and think maybe they felt sorry for him or something.

His wrestling coach is also very fond of Zion and this is what he had to say, “I noticed that Zion willingness to be the best wrestler makes him stand out, and I am thankful I was the chosen to coach him.”

The talented and keen sportsman is bidding to become one of the best freestyle wrestlers in the word.

Zion does a lot of sports and is such an inspiration to many people that anything is possible.
