The main difference had never been Pitso in the first place ( not taking away the good he did with Sundowns), the turning point was when the management/president started to show patience to the technical department. That was key to Sundowns success, since Motsepe took over, Sundowns has backed it's coaches in the market but impatient at the same time. With time (patience), you put yourself in a position to evaluate, access, analys and correct and improve where you lack.
Yes it take a certain quality from the coach to succeed in winning trophies, normally big spenders go for the tried and tested as was the case with Pitso. But now they rip the reward of their own vision and mission. Coaches will come go but Sundowns will always remain competitive.
Sundowns is playing beautiful football now much better than pitso, s football by the way am Khosi4life but jealous down these guys never missed pitso in locally but they wl miss in Africa champions league.
