South Africa, Cape Town - This is the hard work that foreigners talk about when they say that are hard working. It seems the curse of illegal foreigners in South Africa just doesn't seem to end, as foreigners once again make the headlines in South Africa, for organised crimes. This comes as nine foreign nationals have been apprehended in Cape Town for allegedly smuggling abalone with an approximate value of more than R20 million. Hawks Spokesperson, Zinzi Hani, announced four of the suspects aged between 24 and 27 were apprehended for administering an illegal abalone processing installation in Welgemoed near Bellville. Over 11 320 units of dried abalone valued at about R6.5 million as well as abalone processing equipment were confiscated. The suspects are anticipated to emerge in the Bellville Magistrates Court tomorrow. “In Stikland, Bellville the team seized more abalone and abalone processing equipment. A Kenyan national and a Somali aged 23 and 30 were arrested. The team proceeded to Parow where another illegal processing facility was unveiled. Two Chinese nationals and Zimbabwean nationals aged between 25 and 26 were arrested after more units of abalone were seized.”
