After having a terrible start to the season, unlike other teams, TS Galaxy don’t have much time to tolerate a coach when the team is underperforming, someone had to bite the dust and the coach usually becomes the first casualty in cases like this when the team is not winning.
Tim Sukazi's side took to their social meiad platforms and their website to an ounce that they have decided to go separate ways with the former Highlands Park coach Owne Da Gama, the club announced o Monday through a media statement.
According to the statement, the club took a decision to release Da Gama following a string of poor results that saw the team languishing on position number 16 on the log following the humiliating 4-2 defeat by Royal AM on Sunday afternoon.
“Following a string of poor results at the start of this season’s DStv Premiership, the club has severed ties with coach Owen Da Gama with immediate effect. Mr. Da Gama took over the coaching reins at TS Galaxy Football Club in January but the Rockets have endured turbulent times since the start of the 2021/22 Dstv Premiership season," the statement reads.
The Rockets are last on the log with oy two points Ins six games so far, they are yet to find a win in all the league games they played in the 2021/22 season, they lost for games, drew two and they only managed to score four goals, they are on minus six goal difference, the statistics are not good for a team, they might find themselves in a relegation dogfight if they don't change something, that could be one of the reasons Why they pulled the plug on Da Gama.
Former Kaizer Chiefs assistant coach Shaun Bartlett is going to be in charge of the team as interim head coach for the time being while the team searches for a man who can help save the situation before it is too late.
