Mzikayise Malepane, the suspect who is accused of killing Tshegofatso Pule who was 28 years old and 8 months pregnant, has pleaded guilty of murder.
The suspect says the father of Tshegofatso Pule’s unborn child had offered him R70,000 to murder her, he was jailed for 20 years on Friday.
South Africans feel like the judicial system has failed us because they could not give this man two life sentence without the option of parole, how is 20 years justice? Not only did the suspect steal Tshegofatso’s life away from her and her family, but also an innocent baby.
He needs the death penalty, we actually need the death penalty in this country then these criminals will think twice before taking lives that they never give. No one is entitled to another person’s life so this has to stop. This thing of 20 years jail time for the killer just devastated a lot of South Africans who believe that this man deserves worse.
