Good News For SASSA Social Grant Beneficiaries

It's confirmed that the SA Social Security Agency (SASSA) cards for Social Grants will not expire but it will be available beyond 31st of March 2021.

These South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) cards are cards that beneficiaries of social grants like Children Grant, Disability Grant and even the Old Age Grant.

The agency confirmed that on the 31st of March 2021 the SASSA cards will not stop working, recipients must know that.



Citizens have the right to choose their payment option of choice and beneficiaries must know that the agency is not forcing them to change from receiving their grant money at the South African Post Office to receiving it using bank account.

It's confirmed that the South African Reserve Bank will have to confirm the replacement of the SASSA cards but the is actually no end date.

The SA Social Security Agency (SASSA) made confirmation that in due course the info. about replacing of the cards will be made public.
