Kirkwood police have engaged the local area to help them in finding the closest relative of an expired man whose body was discovered lying close to the street in Kirkwood on Saturday.
Police representative Sergeant Majola Nkohli said on Saturday, at about 12.15am, the police were cautioned about a harmed individual discovered lying close to the street in Newton Street, Moses Mabhida, in Kirkwood.
Nkohli said police discovered the body of a unidentified man, who was accepted to be in his twenties, wearing some pants and a dim dark tracksuit top.
"He had a cut injury in the chest area and is a dark male."
The police had opened an instance of homicide for additional examination, Nkohli said.
