The fate of one of Kaizer Chiefs most promising stars is in the hands of the head coach and him alone as the player has been at the club without any game-time and his contract is set to expire in less than a year.
It is a dream for any player in South Africa to be part of South Africa's most supported football club Kaizer Chiefs, but with limited game-time or no game-time at all it is just a sad dilemma which would send any player into a state of depression, feeling unwanted or not experienced or talented enough to break the line up.
One of Kaizer Chiefs players Kearyn Baccus who has been with the club since 2019, has been struggling to break into the line up at Kaizer Chiefs under management of Stuart Baxter. The player's dilemma stretch far beyond Baxter as he has been without promise of game-time since Gavin Hunt's short-term stint at the club.
Kearyn Baccus joined Kaizer Chiefs in the era of Ernst Middendorp and made a statement at the club as he excelled in his first season under Middendorp showing great promise of progress, and even attracted the attention of the then Bafana Bafana coach Molefi Ntseki.
Ernst Middendorp was generous enough to grant Kearyn Baccus the game-time he deserved for his excellent spells, but unfortunately for the player Hunt and Baxter has different opinions and liking to his style of play, or what else could be the reason for him not to recieve the game-time he desires.
Kearyn Baccus is now anxious to know what his future holds at the club. According to his agents Mike Makaab's exact words, "I can't comment it's too early to talk about the player's future". Mike Makaab from ProSport International did not have much to say which would shed light on Baccus future.
We'll all just have to wait and see what happens next, Kaizer Chiefs should not be holding back on talent which they clearly need given their bad spell with consecutive defeats in the Dstv Premiership. Kearyn Baccus contract is set to expire in June 2022.
