What jobs are always in high demand?

These are the kind of jobs that requires more workforce compared to others. Industries like health care, information technology, hospitality and trade - these are the ones that we are going to review below.

1.Law enforcement

In our previous article we indicated that the South African Police Services (SAPS) is in short of 14 000 recruits. This is due to the pandemic that caused a standstill on all recruitment processes and training. This means that your chances of finding employment in this field are many. The application process is also simple:

— Before writing this article we confirmed with the department to find out if they are accepting applications or not. They have indicated that they are still on hold and it will be made available when the process starts rolling again.

— To apply, you need to visit your local police station and get a form called Z83 or any government form that will be given to you.

— Fill it with all the required information and attach supporting documents.

— Submit the form and wait for a callback.

From doctors to assistants, nurses, administrators and more - these are the people that forms the backbone of this industry. Each and every year there are new vacancies that aims to create job opportunities and relax some of the pressure that it's felt due to lack of staff.

— Sometimes vacancies are posted in hospitals and newspapers. Make sure that you constantly check.

3.Information Technology

We are living in an era that is dominated by technology and it's about to take over a lot of industries. I always advice people that they equip themselves with technological skills that will boost their employability.

— For online courses i would advice that you visit Future Learn or Udemy. These are online course platforms that offers thousands of tutorials that are led by industry professionals.
