In South Africa, the Executive Council of a province is the cabinet of the provincial government. The Executive Council consists of the Premier and five to ten other members, who have the title "Member of the Executive Council", commonly abbreviated to "MEC".
Just like other politicians, they are well respected human beings and hoped to live by the book but many of this top politicians are involved in corruption not killing people unless they do it undercover.
Mpumalanga premier Refilwe Mtshweni-Tsipane confirmed that Mandla Msibi, who has been charged with murder and remains in police custody, was removed from his position as MEC.
Mandla Msibi was an MEC for agriculture, rural development, land and environmental affairs in Mpumalanga province and also African National Congress provincial executive committee member.
This is not even good image to the organization and it's happening when the organization is contesting for local government elections which is scheduled to take place on the 1st of November 2021.
