The Democratic Alliance (DA) has made a U-turn regarding the controversial election posters it put up in Phoenix, Durban, saying they will remove them as soon as possible.
This is after tge Democratic Alliance leader John Steenhuisen defended the posters and argued that the ANC and the EFF painted the entire Phoenix community with a same brush of being racist. Our SABC reporters abo Samkelo Maseko failed to ask him: why then does DA use the same brush to paint the entire community as heroes?
When Phoenix was under siege and most parts of Gauteng Province and KwaZulu-Natal province were burning him and his party together with many other political parties were very mum about the disaster now to score political points he's found his voice?
The posters which were seems praising what had really happened in Phoenix and in clear eye, it seems like they were praising those who killed others and named them heros.
The DA has had a change of heart - it's now decided to get rid of election posters with a controversial message and has since apologised.
