Radio and television personality "Bujy" Bikwa, 33, was recently charged with assault after allegedly throwing a glass at 31-year-old media personality Boity Thulo. As a result, Boity was injured in the face after an argument at a hotel in Midrand Johannesburg.
Boity Thulo was hospitalized immediately after a physical altercation broke out between her and Bujy Bikwa.
Witnesses say that Boity and Bujy had a lively discussion about the ancestors and the Sangomas.
“They drank and talked about sangomas and ancestors before an argument started. I'm not sure who started this, but they yelled at each other and cursed each other before they started fighting, ”said a witness.
After Bujy was detained at the Johannesburg Correctional Center, the Midrand District Court released him on bail on Wednesday with a bond of R2,000 and the court warned him not to alter the investigation.
Boity has since addressed the incident in a statement that he is following the case with great interest.
“It is with deep sadness that I have to discover that I was indeed the unfortunate victim of a brutal physical attack and that since then I have initiated a process against the perpetrator, which I follow with great interest. I do not want (currently) to comment on this.
