Economic Freedom Fighters member and former Member of Parliament Phillip Mhlongo who passed away has received so many praises from his fellow EFF forces who described his death as a big loss to the movement.
The red beret leaders said they'll remember him for his revolutionary discipline. Mhlongo joined the red berets in 2013 and also served in the Provincial Command of Kwa-Zulu Natal province.
EFF Kwa-Zulu Natal provincial secretary general Vusi Khoza said they received the news of the untimely passing of Mhlongo with great sadness as he was a true revolutionary.
"It is with great sadness that we learnt of the untimely passing of our comrade and former MP, Fighter Philip Mhlongo. Sending heartfelt condolences to the Mhlongo family, relatives, friends and fellow Fighters. Will always remember you for your revolutionary discipline," said Khoza.
Mhlongo's death also comes at a time ANC deputy secretary general, Jessie Duarte is in hospital fighting for her life. She has been placed on medical leave following gastrointestinal complications. She was admitted to a hospital in Joburg on Sunday.
