The hostile relationship between Fikile Mbalula and Carl Niehaus is getting worse by each day and some critics have argued that what they need is a boxing ring so they can settle their differences once and for all.
Mbalula stated that Carl Niehaus was angry because the taps were closed, and these utterances were not taken lightly by the former veteran who hits back at Mbalula and called him a clown who was blowing hot air.
The other factor which is alleged to be fueling the feud between these two ANC comrades is the fact that they both pledge their allegiance to two opposing factors within the party.
Mbalula belongs to the CR17 faction, while Carl Niehaus is an RET force who strongly believes in the Radical Economic Transformation ideology which was popularized by former president Jacob Zuma.
The ANC comrades have been trying to outsmart each other on social media, calling each other derogatory names to the cheer of their social followers.
Mbalula reacting to Carl Niehaus's utterances that he was a clown who blow hot air, he hit back and said the former Umkhonto Wesizwe Military Veterans Association spokesperson, Niehaus was a known "fraudster" and an armchair critic.
"You must rest, arm chair critic, mobiliser of chaos 100%. He who has assumed the Mantle of a dedicated Rascal.
Armchair critic Alleged failed coup organiser insider, Counter revolution organiser, hopeless fraudster who once claimed his mother is dead," said Mbalula.
He further questioned Carl Niehaus how many times did he bury his mother.
ANC comrade and MEC for education in Kwa-Zulu Natal province, Kwezi Mshengu said Carl Niehaus and Fikile Mbalula should just be given a boxing match to settle their scores for once in their lifetime.
