Pray for SANDF members.

A military vehicle known as a Samil 50 has plunged over a bridge along the Wasbank Road causing serious injuries to four members of the South African Defense forces including leg fractures.

According to preliminary reports, the Samil 50 was crossing the bridge which is several meters high when it lost control plunging into the shallow river below.

While some members managed to crawl from the wreckage, the driver was trapped and had to be rescued by the Fire and Rescue Unit from Alfred Duma Municipality.

It is believed that the vehicle was on its way to Ladysmith where the army conduct regular training. However, the senior military official who was on the scene declined to give further details until all the investigations are done. All four soldiers were rushed to hospital for further medical attention.
