Breaking news-Sudan state of emergency

State of emergency declared after the arrest of Prime Minister Abdalla Hambok and other leaders.

A statement from the information ministry on Facebook said those arrests were being held in an "unidentified locarion".

Demonstrators blocked the roads in the capital Khartnoum in protest at the arrest.

Gen Abdel Fattah Burham who had been heading a joint Council with the civilian leaders blamed political infighting.

The country remains in a deep economic crisis. There had been more international support- a military takeover will put that hugely at risk.

Witnesses say internet is down and that army and paramilitary troops have been deployed across the city.

Khartoum airport is closed and international flights are suspended.

Government announces state of emergency and dissolution of transitional council.

There has been international condemnation of the military move.

The U.K. 's special envoy for Sudan and South Sudan Robert Fairweather tweeted that military arrests of civilian leaders was "a betrayal of the revolution "
