Russia announces takeover of Peski in Donetsk

The total conquest of Peski, a town in eastern Ukraine's Donetsk region, was proclaimed by the Russian Defense Ministry on Saturday.

Igor Konashenkov, a spokesperson for the Russian defense ministry, was reported by Interfax as stating, "As a consequence of the offensive efforts of the coalition troops, the area of Peski of (the self-styled) Donetsk People's Republic has been totally freed."

The control of the city in eastern Ukraine has not been officially verified by the Ukrainian government. The Russian onslaught in Donetsk cities, including the town of Peski, is still going on, according to the general staff of the Ukrainian army on Saturday.

According to the Kyiv Independent, "the Russians seek to breach Ukrainian defense lines at Avdivka, Peski, Marinka, Oleksandropil and Krasnohorivka."

The newest information from the Ukrainian Armed Forces indicates that battle is still going on in Peski.

According to Yemelyanov, Peski is presently "really a large garrison." "The natives were just removed from that place. There are now ominous entrenches that enclose the homes. Utilizing NATO technology, the defense organization was completed "he stated.

Peski, which is near to the Donetsk airport, holds the key to accessing Ukraine's strongly guarded Avdeyevka area.
