Russian special military operation to protect Donbass to end if Ukrainian forces lay down weapons

Moscow, SANA- Dmitry Peskov, a spokesperson for the Kremlin, told reporters on Tuesday that the Russian special military operation to safeguard Donbass might come to an end "by the end of today" if the Ukrainian soldiers were to lay down their arms.

"We center ourselves on the remarks made by our President Vladimir Putin that the special military operation is proceeding according to the plan and achieving its aims," Dmitry was quoted as saying by Novoski.

Peskov gave a negative response when he was asked whether the Russian side had determined a timeline for the conclusion of the special operation.

"No," he responded.

"The Ukrainian side can put an end to all of this before the day is through; it is required to issue an order for the nationalist troops to lay down their arms; it is essential to issue an order for the Ukrainian military to lay down their weapons; and they must satisfy all of Russia's requests. In response to comments made by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, who said that he would want to put an end to the special military operation before the onset of cold weather, a spokesperson for the Ukrainian government stated that all will be finished before the day was through.
