A pillar is a tall vertical structure of stone, wood, or metal, used as a support for a building, or as an ornament or monument.

Pillars can add strength and beauty to a building. In structural engineering , pilllars support heavy loads above them. They often sit under beams or arches on walls or ceilings rest.

The man right here posted a picture of his house and people were suprised to see the amount of pillars that the house had. Usually builders use two to four pillars , but the house here has sixteen pillars. One would be curious to know the reason behind this. People said that the pillars ruined the beauty of the house. Others said that builders should find a way to fit in corner pillars without overcrowding every corner. Some were laughing and making funny comments about the pillars and also added that they thought that a company was advertising pillars.
