The best things to write songs about.

We have all heard the expression "You are what you eat." This is so true. This applies to anything and everything in life. So that brings me to these questions. What kind of music do you listen to?

What kind of movies do you watch? Where do you like to hang out? What kind of people do you hang out with? What kinds of books do you read? What kind of hobbies do you have? What kind of food do you eat?

There are many more questions I could ask, but I am sure you understand my point. All of these things are what you eat every day. These are life experiences and they are the best things to write about. There is a song in every experience, whether it's your experience or someone else's.

I like to quote song lyrics when it comes to different situations. You should have a pen and a notepad everywhere with you so that you never miss the inspiration of a song. I know a lot of music today is about popping bottles in the club, chasing women, and bragging about all the bling and how many haters you have. There are also a lot of songs about going through life and feeling joy and pain.

Fortunately, there are still those artists who write from the bottom of their hearts about the trials and joys of life. The true die-hard fan doesn't come from your party songs. The die-hard fan, who is the fan who will follow you forever, comes when you give him a life story he can relate to.

This fan is yours when you write about what he has been through or has seen someone close to him. When you open your heart to your fans, they will love you for life. Even when you have those years when you are not so called "Hot", they will still support you.

So don't be afraid to write about how you feel, whether it's love or hate, whether you feel like laughing or crying. I know you hardcore rappers and bad boy singers are going to blow your mind, but listen carefully to your favorite artist, they all do it.

Remember that the more you experience it and the more you can write about it, the better you will become a songwriter. Listen to your surroundings for your inspiration and it will never stop nourishing you.
