Everyone in their 20s or 30s should own these 4 things - OPINION

There is a certain age that you reach and things start to seem hard, for most people when they reach the age of twenty, things seem to go downhill as they don't have as much money anymore, and they are expected to show some level of independence, and so those expectations make things a little bit harder than they usually are.

When you get to your twenties(20s) or thirties(30s) there are certain things that you should have that should help in advancing your life.

1. A Skill.

Having a skill is very important, this is something that will give you purpose in life and if you are the lucky few this is something that you could potentially monetize, by starting a business or getting a job from companies that require that particular skill.

You can start developing a skill at any point in your life, and it can be any skill from Video editing to photography, the choices are just too many, all you have to do is pick the one you are passionate about and commit to it.

2. A computer or a Laptop.

Most skills or businesses can be developed or run through your computer or laptop. A computer can change your life, since we are living in a world where you can do almost anything on your computer, it's important to see the opportunities that come with owning a laptop or computer.

People are making a living from their computers and I don't see why anyone wouldn't want to do that.

3. Savings account and investment portfolio.

I know a lot of people are very skeptical when it comes to investing their money into shares or stocks, and to be honest you just can't blame them as a lot of people have gotten scammed trying to invest.

So before you try to invest it's way better to do your research and find legitimate ways to put your money to good use. A savings account will save you on those rainy days, so you should always save and invest.

4. A source of income.

Getting a job in South Africa right now is very hard, but if you do have a job then consider yourself very lucky.

If you don't have a source of income start a side hustle or something that will get you some cash flow, this will help fund your lifestyle and also help you pursue other things such as business endeavors.
