South Africans hearts bled for Fort Hare student Nosicelo Mtebeni earlier this year after her dismembered body was found on a street corner.
Mtebeni was murdered by her boyfriend and her body was stashed into a suitcase and left on a street corner.
The incident happened in East London and it appears as though the trial has now been postponed.
Alutha Pasile, the man accused of murdering the university student and dismembering her body, appeared briefly in the East London high court on Tuesday.
Presiding judge Michelle Beneke ruled the case would be heard again on November 29.
Women’s rights activists and students sat in the gallery and watched as Pasile walked calmly in and out of the court.
He remains in custody.
