Jail Time For Student Who Was Caught Pissing On Another Student's Personal Belongs

Theuns du Toit, a student at Stellenbosch University, is now facing criminal proceedings.

We may not have known from the start what the background story behind the video that went viral on Sunday morning was, but the repercussions of the film were most definitely felt by many, especially those who spend the majority of their time on their smartphones.

To us, it seems as if we've progressed so far away from topics like racism, colorism, and the like, that nothing could have prepared us for the video in question.

If you haven't seen it yet, a first-year law student at Stellenbosch University, Theuns Du Toit, was filmed entering Babalo Ndwanyana's home in Stellenbosch and urinating on his personal belongings, including his desk, books and laptop. At this point, Babalo was in bed sleeping, which made the entire ordeal even more tragic, because how do you walk into another person's room and decide that it is okay to just casually pee on their personal belongings?

University of Stellenbosch has not issued a public statement on the topic but has suspended and expelled the culprit from university residences in connection with this incident

In the wake of the incident, the victim has come forward and claimed that he wants the culprit to be promptly dismissed from the university.

As a result, Babalo has initiated a criminal inquiry into Du Toit's housebreaking, vandalism, and injury to property charges.

The student's behavior is reprehensible, and we hope he will be held accountable.
