SA's corruption emergency, Agrizzi and smith face corruption charges separately

eNCA reporter Manqoba Mchunu has more #eNCA

The fraud and corruption cases of Vincent Smith and Angelo Agrizzi have been postponed to the twenty eighth of september

It has been decided that the two will face trial separately. This comes after an application by the MPA directorate.

Agrizzi has not made physical appearance in court for a while citing ill health. It is what is called non jouner in crimil proceedings and sometimes it can create problems.

And for the prosecution because these people were involved in a common crime together. As much as it has been a difficult trial because of Agrizzi not being able to presant himself here before the specialised crimes court in Palm ridge.

Infact if you recall the last time Agrizzi sat here in court was in October last year that was when his bail application was denied by this court.

And that is when he was admitted to hospital after that and the matter was the appealed in the Johannesburg high court.

And he was granted the bail application on the condition that some of his assets will have to be attached and that he will have to report to police every friday. eNCA reporter Manqoba Mchunu filed this report courtesy of #Dstv403 #eNCA
