What a student from Stellenbosch University has done is not only an insult to the fellow student who is a victim, but an insult to all Africans since we are cherishing the spirit of ubuntu this month. Such a behaviour should be harshly discouraged with no mercy whatsoever.
Minister of Justice and Correctional Services, Ronald Lamola has broken his silence on the Stellenbosch University student Theuns du Toit who urinated on a black student's belongings. According to Lamola, what the student did is like he urinated on the Constitution.
Lamola was speaking while he addressed the South African National Conference to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the third World Conference against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance on Monday. "The incident at Stellenbosch is one too many in recent months", Lamola said. Lamola said it is the responsibility of white parents to ensure they hey did not raise racist children. "We plead with white parents to preach love and diversity in their families. It doesn't make sense why 21-year-old could accused of racism in this day and age. This points to the upbringing of this child",Lamola said.
The 20-year-old black agricultural Stellenbosch University student, whose belongings were urinated on this past weekend, has lodged a criminal complaint against the alleged white perpetrator, Theuns Du Toit. Meanwhile, hundreds of Stellenbosch University students gathered in protest over an alleged racist incident at the Huis Marais.

In my opinion, Theuns Du Toit was taught from home. He's too young to practice what his grand grand family did during apartheid and I'm still asking myself, what's so unforgettable that we did to these white people even at this day and age they're terrorizing us? Lamola is right, the Constitution is not respected in this country. Well, it's not only Theuns who urinated on the Constitution...even the leaders do that on a daily basis.
