Teffo Spills Beans That EFF, ANC Interfered In Senzo Meyiwa's Trial

To some, "controversial" attorney Malesela Teffo has broken the silence on the ANC and EFF's interference in the Senzo Meyiwa case.

Teffo claims he was asked to help the Meyiwa family seek justice for free, so he took on their case pro gratis. He laments that lawmakers are treating him like a celebrity lawyer despite the fact that he is representing the defendant in this case pro bono.

"I took the the Senzo Meyiwa issue pro gratis and ensured that after 7 years the matter was finally running in court, yet politicians belittle our efforts and says we are pursuing celebrity. Absurd, "Teffo remarked.

Economic Freedom Fighters leader Julius Malema has previously spoken out against Malesela Teffo, saying that he deserves whatever punishment is handed to him because he has shown he is incapable of behaving himself in court. Malema was reacting to the lawyer's claims that President Cyril Ramaphosa and Minister of Police Bheki Cele were trying to frighten him by exploiting their positions of power.

The Legal Practitioners Council took Malesela Teffo to court for misconduct, and the case has been pending for some time. The Legal Council claims that Teffo acted in a "unruly" manner in court and lacked ethics while interacting with his clients.

The Legal Practitioners Council also claimed that Malesela Teffo had stolen client money. Advocate Malesela Teffo, on the other hand, denies these claims and claims the council is ambushing him by trying to have him removed from his involvement in the Senzo Meyiwa case.

Teffo claims that Cyril Ramaphosa's advisor, Bejani Chauke, together with the African National Congress and the Economic Freedom Fighters, have all meddled in the Senzo Meyiwa case.

"If judges make decisions in court based on how they feel about the case, it could lead to widespread social upheaval because of the negative impact on ordinary citizens.

It's sad that the ANC, the EFF, and President Zuma's advisor, Mr. Bejani Chauke, have all meddled in the Senzo Meyiwa trial "Teffo stated.

Social commentators believe Teffo is only making these charges to gain publicity and drag EFF and ANC into the affair.
