Shirleen Wafula, an 18-year-old woman who demanded the release of her husband, who had been convicted of attempting to kill her by slicing her legs and feet with a panga, caused a scene from Bungoma law court.
An inhabitant of the area named Joseph Wafula claims that the suspect, an unnamed general laborer from a nearby flower field, is a reckless alcoholic who spends most of his time hopping from one bar to the next, chugging illegal beer.
The outspoken woman told the residential chief magistrate that she had already forgiven her sweetheart and was ready to reconcile so that they could raise their children together in the future. she said.
There have already been affidavits and charges filed, according to prosecutor Mr. Julius Otieno, and the judge's chamber is waiting for a decision tomorrow.
