Traffic cop gets jail time for demanding R10K bribe

Dumisani Mchunu (45) who was giving motorists a hard time in Greytown has been sentenced to four years’ imprisonment for corruption.

He was convicted of corruption in the Greytown Regional Court this week...

Recently He demanded the R10 000 after claiming that the motorist's license disc was fraudulent,

The complainant reported the matter to Hawks members from the Durban Serious Corruption Investigation team and an undercover operation was conducted on 3 March 2022. He was arrested, He probably had an urgent financial pressing issue at home, But it’s a political matter more than anything.

Someone said on Twitter that, Great news, we need more of this. After his early parole he will take up his old position, I bet. Nothing is impossible in the ANC Banana Republic of South Africa. You're dammn right I know a lot of whites who killed people during the dark days of apartheid and still continued even after 1994, but they are out here living their lives like they've never murdered bundles and bundles of people. Money has destroyed many families I don't feel shame for a crook he can't appreciate what he got from God, I'm worried about his family only. Maybe somehow EFF influenced him, of Kanjani. He went too far this time, a whole 10k mara.

Someone said on Twitter that, how would someone Career/ life ruined over R20/R50 it a big tragedy.
