Seated on opposite ends of court 13 in the high court sitting in Palm Ridge on Friday, where judgment in the murder trial of Nomia Rosemary Ndlovu is being delivered, are two brothers, both of whom lost siblings but in different ways. Ndlovu arrived in court under heavy police presence. The former Tembisa cop is accused of ochestrating the deaths of her five relatives and her boyfriend to claim from funeral insurance and life cover policies. Tembisa people are so unfortunate in Tembisa that their name gets easily dragged in the mud. Rosemary woman is from Bushbuckridge but because she once worked as a cop in Tembisa she will forever be known as the cop from Tembisa.
Nomia Ndlovu found guilty “The following order is made. The accused is found guilty on Count 1 of murder of Madala Homu, 2, murder of Audrey Ndlovu, 3 - Hangwani Mabasa, 9 - Zanele Motha, 10 - Mayeni Mashaba and 12 - Brilliant Mashego." Also found guilty on defeating ends of justice, fraud on clientele, 1 life, old mutual and assupol insurance companies.
"The state’s case is based on circumstantial evidence. If it were to apply the inference must be consistent with the all the other proven facts. There’s no direct evidence. But there are similar facts.
Just in Rosemary Ndlovu is back on the 5th November for aggravation and mitigation of sentence.
