You would recall that the Johannesburg based, Zimbabwean born lawyer was the lead advocate that filed a court case against South African government and Home Affairs over their refusal to renew the Zimbabwe exemption permit.
The permit which was last renewed in 2018 gave over 250,000 illegal immigrants from Zimbabweans the legal right to live and work in South Africa without any form of interference. Though he subsequently lost the case.
Meanwhile, the young lawyer just turned 40 today, and messages has been pouring in from both South Africans and his Zimbabwean people.
This are some of the reactions gotten from South Africans after Simba announced his birthday celebration.
Simba: "Today I celebrate a big milestone in my life as I turn 40. It's been an incredible journey. It is also a day to remember my mother who gave birth to me 40 years ago. I thank everyone who helped me become a lawyer committed to asserting the rights of Zimbabweans at home and abroad."
