JOHANNESBURG – A 50-year-elderly person has been condemned to 23 years in jail for poaching and other related violations.
The strong sentence was given over by the Skukuza Regional Court in Mpumalanga.
The sentenced rhino poacher confessed to six charges identified with rhino poaching subsequent to being captured inside the Kruger National Park in 2016.
Public Park's Ike Phaahla, said, "notwithstanding this conviction of the illicit migrant from Mozambique, officers had the option to capture three additional suspects in the previous seven days and seized two top notch rifles, ammo and poaching gear."
The public is constantly pleading with the government to assist the police force in dealing with this crime because it seems to be getting out of hand.
