The Parow local court in Cape Town gave Rashidi Ndulite, 45, from Tanzania, a three-year prison sentence on Friday. This followed his conviction on "landing, getting, shipping and ownership of unlawfully poached abalone" charges.
Falcons representative Zinzi Hani said Ndulite was condemned to an extra one-year prison term for repudiating the Immigration Act. The sentences will run simultaneously and he had year and a half of his sentence suspended.
Ndulite was captured in June during an inquiry and seizure activity by the Hawks' not kidding coordinated wrongdoing group and the division of ranger service, fisheries, and the climate.
Hani said Ndulite went into a request and condemning concurrence with the state.
