Bheki Cele Reveals A Drastic Change In Rape Cases In SA, Check Out What He Says

The cases of Gender Base Violence GBV most sexual offenses against women in South Africa have become a dominating menace that is giving the country a negative name. Women are sexually molested daily and the fear to speak up is holding them down.

Just recently, the country's Minister of Police, Bheki Cele told newsmen that the case of sexual offenses including rape and other forms of molestations against women in the country has reduced in the first quarter of the 2022/2023 financial year. 

He further stated that from April to June 2022, nine thousand rape cases were reported to the police, and this has reduced from the nine thousand, five hundred reported in the previous year. 

So many rape victims in South Africa are afraid to report rape cases to police officials, and many are demanding that the government and Police Minister Bheki Cele should establish a rape unit where only well-trained women police officials can attend to these cases appropriately.
