A law enforcement agent made to pay for his crime

A member of the Hawks is reported to have been made to pay for the crime that he committed when he reportedly stole R4000 .

The Specialised Commercial Crimes Court is reported to have sentenced the 61-year-old former member of the Hawks, Rodney Mpapela to six years´ imprisonment .

The two years were suspended for five years by the court .The former Hawks member got arrested on the 28th of June and reportedly got convicted for the crime on the 30th of September 2021.

This is a devastating development regarding a law enforcement agent who was supposed to serve the station with honesty and integrity. Losing a job and a steady career because of R4000 is a huge loss for Edward .

This is a lesson that greediness has negative consequences . He could have opted to take a loan from the bank or elsewhere than to steal R4000 from work.
