Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) officials led by Julius Malema at Matatiele women's day rally in Eastern Cape today.
Malema's speech "Today, as we celebrate this day, we should remember the window of Marikana who were brutally killed by police, who were told by Cyril Ramaphosa that these workers are criminals."
Julius Malema reminded women about what happened at Maraikana, he claims that some are now widows because of Cyril Ramaphosa. He wants the Marikana people to not forget that and fight for what is right.
He continued saying" we are here as grandchildren of Winnie Madikizela Mandela, who came from Bizana. Who came from rural areas, to go and liberate the whole of South Africa.
"so anyone who thinks that this freedom came because someone was doing us favor, you will have to think twice. A lot of women all over the African continent fought against colonialism."
