Samuel, a traditional healer, told the court he did not need a lawyer, he would be independent. His son will be with the lawyer if the case goes ahead. They face charges of kidnapping, rape and murder and their arrest is linked to the murder of Bontle Mashiyane.
These people just arrived, last night the community woke up in a rage and set fire to the house of the sangoma and one of the other suspects who are neighbors of the Mashiyane family.
They will remain in custody until their return on June 24 in the KwaMasoyi Magistrate's Court.
