The sentence is given to the woman who is accused of killing her employer.

A lady seen as at real fault for requesting a hit on her old manager has been condemned to life detainment, alongside her assistant.

Authorities say Lungile Qoza worked for Chatsworth occupant Mohammed Salajee.

They say in June 2020, the 81-year-old Salajee left his home with R150 000 which he needed to pay for a property.

The National Prosecution Authority says Qoza had some awareness of this and conspired with another lady, Ntombikayise Khambule, to ransack him.

They employed a hired gunman.

KZN NPA representative Natasha Kara says Salajee was denied of the cash and put it into the boot of his vehicle.

The older man was then shot and killed.

The two ladies were imprisoned by the Umlazi Magistrate's Court on Friday.

"The hired gunman passed on a month after the episode while the ladies were in this manner captured.

"They were condemned to life detainment for homicide, 15 years detainment for burglary and five years detainment for seizing. They will serve a viable term of life detainment."
