Guess How Much Dali Mpofu Charged A Day To Represent Mkhwebane?

Senior Counsels such as Dali Mpofu are expensive, making it difficult for average folks to hire them unless they are willing to work for free. The amount of money that attorney Dali Mpofu and his five-person team charge every day to represent the suspended Public Protector astounded many.

According to sources, the Office of the Public Protector may be paying R130 000 a day for the five-person legal team representing Busisiwe Mkhwebane during a parliamentary probe into her competence to hold office.

Mkhwebane's legal fees during the impeachment process to evaluate her fitness to keep office are, however, paid for using taxpayer funds. This expose on the amount of money paid to Dali Mpofu and his team has left some opponents with a bad taste in their mouths, as they claim the advocate is "milking government money."

However, neither Dali Mpofu nor Busisiwe Mkhwebane can be held responsible for this, as she had no alternative but to retain legal counsel following her suspension by President Cyril Ramaphosa. Some of Mkhwebane's supporters said that they are unconcerned with the compensation, as they want want her reinstated to her position.

"They must increase the daily cost of this bill to R1 million until justice is served. We, as a community, are pleased to support our Protector, Busisiwe Mkhwebane "According to a supporter of Mkhwebane.

Advocate Dali Mpofu has taken more measures in this case by writing to President Cyril Ramaphosa to request that he testify at the Inquiry into the Fitness of Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane to Hold Office.

Ramaphosa may be questioned about his CR17 bank statements, Bosasa, and his most recent controversy, Phala Phala, if he were to be subpoenaed.

Advocate Dali and his crew, who are supposedly being paid R130 000 per day, would apparently leave no stone unturned in their pursuit of justice for Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane.
