Bawa Ibrahim, a 19-year-old armed robber, was sentenced to 63 years in prison by His Lordship Justice Alexander Graham at the Techiman Circuit Court. This provides obvious justice for the victims, who were four SHS girls.
The accused's sentence was increased from 30 to 33 years for what he attempted to do to the victims (SHS Girls) from the Akumfi Ameyaw SHS in Techiman at the crime scene.
The young man entered their room with a pair of scissors and demanded their valuables, according to one of the girls who talked to Joynews. He began caressing them one by one and attempted to rape them all after seizing their phones, money, and jewelry.
The girls who insisted on the act pounced on him with vigour. He escaped after inflicting scissor wounds on the majority of them during the scuffle. He was then detained while riding his Okada bike across town after filing a police report.
"In his infinite wisdom, the court sentenced him to three years in prison for unauthorised entry, thirsty years in prison for robbery, and an additional thirty years in prison for attempted rape. The sentence must be completed at the same time "Gyabaa Agyemang, a police inspector, told the press. Take a look at how Joynews covered the story.
