Black TUT nurses went to court in order for them be able to be paid equally with their white colleagues and their case was overturned. The black nurses of TUT first took the matter to high court but even then their case was ruled out. They say they want same equal pay because they have the same qualifications and same level of experience but some how they are paid less. Many people had this to say about the matter.
"This is the reality we live in with, after all the study loans and graduating we still get paid less than our white colleagues with less qualifications"
"That is why South Africa will continue to be a black body with a white head country, the same in companies, people must be paid based on their qualifications not based on the colour of their skin"
"Every company and institution uses the same method, it is very painful"
