2 FACTORS CONTRIBUTED TO HER LOST (BUT) NUMBER TWO, THE MAIN-ONE.
(1) First and foremost the make up (list of the selected names) from the initial candidates list was not representative in numbers — in terms of balance between female and male, let alone to give women an advantage to assume positions. In that regard particularly, the last list of four-names of candidates (see graphic foto) whereby only one woman against three men — contested the very same position, of Chiefjustice.
In this way all pressure and pleasure was on judge Maya, since she captured all eyes — not ONL because she was a female but by a virtue of being only a woman versus 3 men contestation. It was this FOCUS that put her in a corner of under-pressure, in that she could not exposed her capabilities and knowledge in the field of legal-law — the way she would have done or wish to.

(2) The conduct of both EFF leader Malema and Mpofu was a staunch contributing factor to the unsuccessful appointment of judge Maya to Chief justice position. This two politicians, conducted themselves as a referee and player simultaneously, in favor of judge Maya.
That included playing in her behalf instead of she played her own part during the JSC Chief justice interview — this led to judge Maya kind of confused as an effect unable to gave the best she got. Because somebodies were busy unwarrantedly, fighting for her fights. Surely she didn't need those two to fought for her, as she was well too superior to them. Therefore, their conduct was unwarranted and a total embarrassment that backfired right to their faces — unfortunately judge Maya got caught in the mix.
