Man Who Killed His Lover And Chopped Her Body Into Parts Has Confessed, Look What He Said In Court

The murder of women in South Africa is a serious and ongoing problem. South Africa has one of the highest rates of gender-based violence in the world, and women are disproportionately affected. This can include physical, sexual, and emotional abuse, as well as economic abuse.

Flavio Hlabangwane, a suspect who killed his girlfriend and dismembered her body parts to store inside a fridge, was taken to court. The suspect killed his girlfriend, Tshepang Pitse. The trial against Flavio Hlabangwane started in the High Court of South Africa Gauteng Local Division, Johannesburg with the State provisionally granting an application to tender hearsay evidence.

During the court proceedings, the suspect, Hlabangwane pleaded guilty to killing and cutting up the body of his cousin and lover, Tshepang Pitse. The trial continues on Thursday, 26 January 2023. Hopefully, the victim will get justice for the crime done against her.

The South African government has taken some steps to address this issue, but more needs to be done to effectively address the underlying problems and reduce the number of murders of women in the country.

We need to raise awareness with campaigns to educate people about gender-based violence and how to prevent it, as well as promote gender equality and challenge societal attitudes that perpetuate violence against women.

Additionally, the government should increase the penalties for those convicted of violence against women and create laws that specifically target gender-based violence, such as femicide.
