Mass protest, illegal immigrants and miners manhunting, strike and jungle justice are the trending action in South Africa currently. The rate at which law abiding citizens of the country are becoming angry with government and taking laws in their hands shows how much they have endured suffering from criminals in SA.
The time when people bring out their cellphone to inform the police about an ongoing crime in their area have pass. No citizens wants to be law abiding when their peace and safety is at great risk because of some miscreants. In the recent times, we have recorded over 5 jungle justices in the country and I could assume that it's not stopping anytime soon if the government doesn't step up their game in fighting crimes.
Today, we received a video tape of Protea Glen residents angrily beating three caught criminals. The community members expressed their disappointment in South Africa Police for releasing criminals soon after being caught. The criminals were well rehabilitated with beatings as they warned the police never to interfere.
The video is indeed disturbing for sensitive viewers, but the masses seems to be happy with the way they are now handling criminals. People have lost many things including their loved ones and properties to some lazy youths in the name of robbery. I'm not supporting the act of vigilantism but the government have failed woefully in terms of protecting its citizens, thereby giving people the audacity to engage in jungle justice.
Below are screenshots of people's reactions on the Facebook over the video:
@Leizel, It's because the police does work well and that makes communities to react and have a disregard for them.
@Derick, Communities are tired of the rapes, murders, theft, hijackings, abductions of women and children, drug smuggling, gangs etc and all the ministers are doing is visiting areas and talking nonsense.
