Illegal Abalone Dealer from Tanzania Bags Three Years Jailed Term in Cape Town.

Illegal businesses have constituted a major criminal offences we experience in South Africa and this is why the Government in collaboration with the police are really working very hard to eliminate serious crime within the country.Just on Friday, a Tanzanian illegal abalone dealer was jailed and declared an undesirable person in South Africa.

Parow regional court in Cape Town handed Rashidi Ndulite (45) from Tanzania, a 3 year jail sentence on Friday After his conviction on receiving, transporting & possession of illegally poached abalone.

Hawks spokesperson Zinzi Hani said Ndulite was sentenced to an additional one-year jail term for contravening the Immigration Act. The sentences will run concurrently and he had 18 months of his sentence suspended.

This will serve as a deterrent to those who intend to engage themselves in Illegal businesses that are not backed by the law.
