Second monkeypox case has been recorded in South Africa

Health Ministry calls for vigilance as SA records a second monkeypox case. The patient is a 32-year-old male from Cape Town with no travel history. The ministry suggests there's a high possibility of local transmission

"Corvid started like this and they didn’t bother to prevent some movements so we’ll see what’s gonna happen"

"First one in Johannesburg, second one in Cape Town?No travel history? Makes no sense."

"What's worrying is that both of these men have "no travel history", so this means this virus is already amongst us. So disheartening. I hope it won't spread crazily in SA."

"This is what South Africa good to do,,, always digging into stats of viruses or deases,, and forget about our economy,,,, look now we are on stage 6 loadshedding,,, and inflection increasing now and then"

"Because of our non existent borders people from Congo and Nigeria and other affected countries will come here with these diseases"

" if f he has no travelling history and has monkey then did he get infected ??

When the first few cases that were reported were nowhere near SA ?"
