The importance of autosuggestion

So I've been reading 'Think and Grow Rich' by Napoleon Hill and it is a real eye-opener. I wrote my last article about a story I picked up on the book, this article is also based on the book. Was thinking I could give some people an insight of what the book's about.

Autosuggestion is a term that applies to all suggestions and all self-administered stimuli that teach one's mind through the five senses stated otherwise autosuggestion is self-suggestion. It is the agency of communication between that part of the mind where conscious thought takes place, and that which serves as the seat of action for the subconscious mind.

No thought, whether it is positive or negative, can enter the subconscious mind without the aid of the principle of autosuggestion, with the exception of thoughts picked up with the ether.

It is important to write down all your desires and dreams, but don't just write them down. Every morning when you wake up and every night before you sleep, read them out aloud. This is so that you don't forget what you're working towards.

It is important that you read with emotion, just reading is pointless. Read them with emotion and faith. As the famous Emil Coué (a French Psychologist) once said, 'Day by day, in every way, I am getting better and better'. Your subconscious mind recognizes and acts only upon thoughts that have been well mixed with emotion or feeling.

It is important to give your brain suggestions but it is even more important believing in what you're suggesting to your brain. That way you can accomplish anything you put your mind to.
