The Zimbabwean Covid-19 information : There were 75 new Covid-19 cases

Zimbabwe just like the rest of the world is still fighting against the Covid-19 pandemic . The cases may be decreasing , but the danger is not yet over for the Southern African country as cases keep being recorded on a daily basis .There were 75 new Covid-19 cases that were detected on the 23rd of January 2022 .

It should be noted that there are now 228 254 new cases that have been identified in Zimbabwe .The number of active cases is lesser that the number of positive Covid-19 cases to date . This is because there are 9661 active cases for Zimbabwe .

The provinces that are dominating regarding the active cases are Mashonaland East and Mashonaland West . The two provinces are dominant with 2 787 and 2 378 cases respectively . Manicaland is the third province with more than a thousand active cases , standing on 1 079 .

Bulawayo and Harare are the provinces recorded as having the lowest number of active cases , standing on as low as 234 and 341 cases respectively . The statistics that were shared by the Ministry of Health and Child Care are not there to serve as a decoration , but they should remind people in Zimbabwe that there is something that still needs to be worked on , which is the pandemic .

It is still possible that some may not be knowing their Covid-19 status , hence the need to always adhere to Covid-19 protocols . Wearing masks , social distancing , sanitizing and getting vaccinated are some ways that have been identified as being helpful in curbing the spread of the virus.

There were two people who were repported to have died as of the 23rd of January 2022 . This took the total number of fatalities to 5292 .
